Château Angélus 2016
Description
Description
The history of the prestigious Château Angélus is both one of the oldest and one of the youngest in Bordeaux. The origins of the de Boüard winemaking family date back to 1544, but the Château as we know it today was only founded in 1909. At that time, Maurice de Boüard de La Forest bought a parcel named L'Angelus and named his estate after it. Since 2012, it has belonged to the small circle of the four Premier Grand Cru Châteaux in Saint-Émilion. Today, Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal leads the Château in the eighth generation. The dedicated winemaker is committed to environmental and species protection and works in the vineyard and cellar using sustainable methods.
