The Carillon d'Angelus
Château Angelus
Lisa Perrotti-Brown for Robert Parker
The 2016 Le Carillon d'Angélus strides confidently from the glass with aromas of black cherries, fresh blackberries and black raspberries, unsmoked cigars, black truffles, wet stones and a hint of pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has great elegance and sophistication, with lively fruit flavors, structured by soft, fine-grained tannins and endless freshness, finishing with a lingering earthy note.
