Weedenborn stands for precise, modern white wines from Rheinhessen – at home in Monzernheim, focusing on cool altitudes and limestone-rich soils that bring freshness and minerality to the wine.
The winery is particularly strong in Sauvignon Blanc (as a clear style signature, in several quality levels) – complemented by Chardonnay and Burgundy varieties. The result: clear fruit, fine spice, clean structure and excellent drinkability, from uncomplicated estate wines to sophisticated origin wines from Westhofen.

The wines of Petrus

The Grand Vin of Petrus is one of the most famous and sought-after wines in the world. It is regarded as a benchmark for Pomerol and one of the greatest Merlot wines of all.

Typical aromas include black cherry, plum, blackberry and violet, complemented by truffle, dark chocolate, spices, cigar box and the often-described iron-rich minerality of the terroir. With age, complex nuances of forest floor, leather and exotic spices develop.

Despite its enormous concentration, Petrus rarely feels heavy. Instead, it is defined by exceptional balance, combining power with elegance. Great vintages develop over many decades and rank among France's longest-lived premium wines.

Another special feature of the estate is its focus on a single great wine. Unlike many other leading estates, Petrus produces no classic second wine and devotes its full attention to the Grand Vin.
