Description

France / Burgundy / Côte de Beaune

The Meursault Les Perrières 2021 displays a clear, brilliant straw-yellow color and a delicate bouquet of white flowers, citrus fruits, and fine minerality. On the palate, it is dense, energetic, and precise, with a pronounced salty, chalky minerality – typical of the top Perrières terroir. The structure is tight, elegant, and long-lasting.

Domaine Pierre Girardin

Domaine Pierre Girardin is one of the most exciting young projects in the Côte de Beaune. Founded in 2017 by Pierre-Vincent Girardin, then only 21 years old and son of the renowned Vincent Girardin, the estate has excellent parcels in Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Volnay and Pommard, many of them from old family holdings.

Girardin works with uncompromising precision: low yields, biodynamically inspired vineyard work, spontaneous fermentation and very fine, moderate use of oak. His wines stand for radiant minerality, clear contours and modern elegance, and are already considered insider tips among the new generation of Burgundy producers.

Origin in Focus

Burgundy

The Burgundy (Bourgogne) wine region is shaped by small parcels and historic vineyards. The focus here is on two grape varieties – Pinot Noir and Chardonnay – which reflect soil, climate and craftsmanship with exceptional transparency.

Between Dijon and Mâcon, a narrow band of vineyards stretches for around 250 km, each with its own distinctive character.
