The Armagh Shiraz

My favourite of the recently bottled vintages, 2016 The Armagh Shiraz, shows a little more obvious oak (simply due to its youth), but also a wonderful tension between ripeness and freshness . The fruit here is a little redder, leaning more towards raspberries than blackberries, but is still fully ripe. Full-bodied and smooth, it finishes cedar-like, intense and long, with complex, lingering spice notes.
