Clos Saint Martin 2019

Château Clos Saint Martin is one of the smallest Grand Cru Classé estates in Saint-Émilion and enjoys a privileged position on the famous limestone plateau above the town. The deeply weathered, limestone-rich soils give the wines tension, freshness and a striking, almost saline minerality. Merlot dominates the cuvée, bringing dense, ripe fruit, gentle fullness and silky tannins, supported by smaller proportions of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon that add structure, spice and extra depth. Stylistically, the wines stand for concentrated elegance rather than excessive power: dark berries, floral notes, fine herbal spice and precise acidity define the profile. Through meticulous manual work in the vineyard and careful vinification, the estate produces distinctive, long-lived Saint-Émilion wines with a clear terroir signature.
