Premier Cru Classé

The 2016 Rieussec is pale lemon yellow in color and floats out of the glass with a beautiful floral and citrus bouquet of orange blossom, pink grapefruit, yuzu, lime leaves and lemongrass with hints of nutmeg and candied ginger. Having matured further from the barrel since my last tasting, it shows many elegant and compact layers on the palate with a balanced freshness that finishes long and fragrant.
