2018

Premier Grand Cru Classé

Château Pavie
France | Bordeaux | Saint-Emilion
Lisa Perrotti-Brown for Robert Parker

The 2016 Pavie slowly unfolds fragrant aromas of violets, chocolate-covered cherries, crushed blueberries and eucalyptus over a core of plums, kirsch, black raspberries and crème de cassis plus hints of liquorice and grilled meat. Full-bodied with a foundation of firm, super-ripe, grainy tannins and endless freshness interwoven with the black fruits and mineral notes, it finishes very long and very opulent. Excellent!
