Description
Description
France / Bordeaux / Saint-Émilion
Before the first vines were planted on the "Pavie Hill" in Saint-Émilion, Pavie peaches grew there, which gave the vineyard its name. Château Pavie was established in the 19th century and, after several changes of ownership, was acquired by Gérard Perse in 1998. He invested large sums in the now run-down winery. A quarter of the plots were replanted, the cellar was modernized, and additional plots were purchased. 70% of the vineyard is cultivated using sustainable methods. In 2012, the winery was rewarded for its quality offensive and awarded the title of "Premier Grand Cru Classé A".
