Description

France / Bordeaux / Médoc / Margaux

Over decades, the two families Mähler-Besse and Sichel have significantly contributed to the international renown of the winery with exceptional vintages. Today, Château Palmer is considered one of the leading Grand Crus of the famous Margaux appellation. The Alter Ego made its debut with the 1998 vintage. This was made possible by the purchase of an 8-hectare vineyard. Since the grapes for Alter Ego come from different plots than those for Palmer and it is produced with a different blend, Château Palmer does not consider it a second wine but rather an independent and unique wine. Château Palmer began converting to biodynamic viticulture in 2008 and, despite the significant climatic challenges of recent years, impresses with wines of world-class caliber.
