Château Leoville Las Cases 2016

Château Léoville Las Cases is regarded as one of the most important estates of the Médoc and is widely seen as regularly performing at Premier Cru level. The heart of the estate lies in the famous Clos near Château Latour, where deep gravel soils over clay and limestone provide perfect drainage, structure and enormous longevity. Cabernet Sauvignon clearly dominates, complemented by Merlot and Cabernet Franc, producing intense, dense yet highly precise wines marked by cassis, graphite, cedarwood and an iconic, finely woven tannin structure. Strict selection, parcel work and an uncompromising commitment to quality shape wines that are among the longest-lived, most complex and most impressive on the Left Bank.
