Domaine de Léoville is one of the oldest wineries in the Médoc and was owned by some of the richest and most influential French noble families before it was acquired by the Las Cases family. The winery has been run by the Delon family since the late 19th century. Château Léoville Las Cases is described as the "first among super-seconds" and regularly challenges the premier crus in quality. The very strong performance of the winery in recent years, although it exceeds in quality Remarkably consistent throughout the 20th century is thanks in large part to the hard work and perseverance of talented winemakers Jean-Hubert Delon and his father Michel.
