Château Le Gay 2018

Château Le Gay is one of Pomerol’s renowned boutique estates and lies on the famous plateau with its iron-rich clay and gravel soils – a terroir that produces Merlot of great density, structure and aromatic depth. Under the Robin family and later Catherine Péré-Vergé, Le Gay developed into one of the most powerful yet elegant crus of the appellation. Strict yield reduction, meticulous parcel work and modern vinification in small lots result in wines of impressive intensity: dark fruit, floral nuances, opulent texture and fine mineral tension. Today, Château Le Gay stands for refined, profound and long-lived Pomerol wines with a genuine signature and great ageing potential.

Bordeaux is one of the world’s most renowned wine regions – a name that has stood for elegance, diversity and ageing potential for centuries. Gravel, clay and limestone soils alternate, allowing fine nuances in the wines that reflect both terroir and craftsmanship.

Bordeaux is typically known for blends in which grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc work together harmoniously.
