Description

France / Bordeaux / Saint-Émilion

This historic winery is located at the end of the famous Côte Pavie, in the municipality of Saint-Laurent-des-Combes. The terraced vineyard is sheltered from north winds in a prime southern exposure. Since 1945, Hélène Gratiot and then her son Jacques-Olivier have preserved the unique character of this terroir, producing perfectly balanced wines with surprising power and intense fruity aromas. Since 2002, when Nicolas Thienpont took over the management and Stéphane Derenoncourt was brought in as a consultant, Larcis-Ducasse has entered a new phase. Since then, the vineyard has been worked according to organic standards, the yield has been limited and only the highest quality grapes are selected for the Grand Vin.
