Château Lagrange is located on the left bank of the Garonne, in the heart of Saint-Julien. Like most wineries in Bordeaux, the property passed through numerous hands until the current owners, the Suntory Group, acquired the winery in 1983. After taking over the property, the new owners invested enormous sums to modernize the dilapidated cellar and replant the vineyards. Château Lagrange now has 118 hectares of vineyards in one piece, which is extremely rare in Bordeaux. Lagrange became a model winery and today there are only a few Bordeaux wineries that can hold a candle to Lagrange.
