Description
France / Bordeaux / Côtes de Bordeaux / Castillon
The Château d'Aiguilhe, acquired by Count Stephan von Neipperg at the end of 1998, is one of the most beautiful wineries in the Castillon - Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. Located on the plateau, the vineyards benefit from natural drainage and, thanks to their overall southern exposure, excellent exposure to the sun. The clayey, calcareous and loamy soils form a thin, rather barren layer on a calcareous subsoil, which ensures excellent regulation of the water balance. In conjunction with the average age of the vines, these natural conditions create ideal conditions for viticulture. The wines of Château d'Aiguilhe beautifully express the strong identity of their terroir: they combine power and freshness.
