One of the oldest châteaux in Pomerol, Clinet sits high on the famous plateau in the heart of Pomerol. In the vineyards, vines that are up to 85 years old grow on sandy, loamy and gravel soils whose nutrients and minerals produce almost magical wines. Every grape that comes to the winery goes through a rigorous selection process. And the must from each plot is vinified and aged separately to preserve the unique terroir character. This is followed by the cuveeting of the wines from the various parcels. This creates the balanced cuvées with their complex aromas and incomparable character. A vintage may be unpredictable, but Clinet's identity is unmistakable.
