Description
Description
France / Bordeaux / Saint-Émilion
When the privateer Jacques Kanon bought the winery in the 18th century, he could not have imagined that over 250 years later, the Château would be among the best Premiere Grand Crus Classé “B” and receive worldwide recognition for its wine. After several changes of ownership, the Wertheimer family acquired the winery in 1996 and invested significantly in the vineyards. The soils of the sustainably managed 22 hectares are a combination of clay and limestone with fossilized starfish, left behind by a prehistoric lake. An ideal terroir to express the character of the grape varieties in the classic Saint-Émilion style.
