Château Beau-Séjour Bécot

Château Beau-Séjour Bécot is one of Saint-Émilion’s most prestigious estates and occupies an exceptional position directly on the limestone plateau above the medieval town. This unique subsoil – a massive limestone rock with natural drainage – gives the wines their famous tension, freshness and mineral depth.

The estate has belonged to the Bécot family since 1969 and has been consistently developed into a modern, powerful yet elegant Grand Cru Classé. Under the younger generation, especially Juliette and Julien Bécot, the estate has experienced a strong qualitative rise, shaped by sustainable vineyard work, precise parcel vinification and sensitive use of oak.

In the cellar, Beau-Séjour Bécot uses a combination of concrete, wood and large vats, as well as carefully measured use of barriques and amphorae depending on the vintage. The aim is a wine that shows fullness, finesse and exceptional aromatic clarity at the same time.

Today, Château Beau-Séjour Bécot stands for powerful, complex and silky Saint-Émilion wines that rank among the most elegant and consistent in the appellation – a model estate where tradition and modern precision come together.

Bordeaux

Origin in Focus

Bordeaux

Bordeaux is one of the world’s most renowned wine regions – a name that has stood for elegance, diversity and ageing potential for centuries. Gravel, clay and limestone soils alternate, allowing fine nuances in the wines that reflect both terroir and craftsmanship.

Bordeaux is typically known for blends in which grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc work together harmoniously.

Stylistically, red Bordeaux wines are defined by a balance of fruit, structure and freshness. The white wines – usually made from Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and sometimes Muscadelle – range from crisp and citrus-driven to creamy and complex.
