Château Batailley Grand Cru Classe 2014
Description
Description
Château Batailley is one of the oldest châteaux in the region. The name of the château dates back to a decisive battle in 1452 in which the French crown decisively repelled the English troops and was able to win back the neighboring château Latour. This marked the end of 300 years of English rule over Aquitaine. Wine was first cultivated on this historic site in the 16th century. The 5-hectare park was laid out by Napoleon III's architect around 1850. The château shows all its finesse and elegance, especially in large vintages.
