The impressive bouquet seems to combine the spice of a great Hermitage with the ripe juiciness of South Africa. Deep fruit of cassis, blackberry liqueur and preserved sloes, plus downright Mediterranean notes of black olives, dried garrigue herbs, liquorice and iodine. Juicy on the palate, but with a piquant backbone at the core. The fruit volume in the taste is given additional complexity by lively acidity and notes of dark chocolate and baking spices. Fine fire in a finish that is as rich as it is delicately spicy. The noble length of a real 1er Grand Cru.
