Description

</b>Viñedo Chadwick is an unusual vineyard. It was planted in 1992 on Eduardo Chadwick’s father’s polo field. The polo field was located on prime vineyard land in Puente Alto, one of the most prestigious sites in Maipo. Since its first vintage, Viñedo Chadwick has consistently received the highest praise and recognition, including Robert Parker's highest rating for a Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile in five consecutive vintages. These awards impressively demonstrate the success story of this world-class wine, which is based on passionate commitment to quality and the skilfully elaborated expression of the terroir. Viña Seña

The Chilean estate Viña Seña was created in 1995 as a joint venture between winemaking legend Robert Mondavi and Eduardo Chadwick, one of Chile’s most respected wine producers.

Both recognised the potential of the Aconcagua Valley and began establishing and sustainably cultivating a vineyard in a cool site at the foot of the nearly 7,000-metre-high Mount Aconcagua. The location offers optimal conditions for producing quality wines, including a diversity of soils, an ideal climate and abundant sunshine.

Here they produce the fresh, elegant cult wine Seña, which has counted among the best wines in the world at least since the sensational Berlin Tasting in 2004. At this blind tasting, 36 of Europe’s most respected wine experts gathered to taste 16 wines blind and awarded Seña second place, ahead of Château Lafite Rothschild.

Since 2005, the estate has been 100% owned by the Chadwick family.
