Ambrogio Folonari has made countless trips to Burgundy to exchange ideas with the local winegrowers. Enthusiastic about the elegant red wines, he has fulfilled a long-cherished dream with the Tenute del Cabreo Black: the cultivation of Pinot Noir in the Chianti Classico region. The ambitious winemaker found perfect conditions on his vineyard in Panzano, 450 meters above sea level. Here the temperature fluctuations between day and night are so great that the demanding grape variety ripens well without losing its finesse. Due to low yields, careful care of the vines and many years of experimentation in the cellar, Ambrogio Folonari vinifies a typical and at the same time unique Pinot Noir.
