At elevated sites with Galestro and Alberese soils, modern Super Tuscans are produced that combine Tuscan origin with international refinement. At the heart of the estate is Il Borgo, a cuvée of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon: dark cherry, cassis, fine herbal spice, silky yet present tannins and perfectly integrated barrique. La Pietra, a single-varietal Chardonnay, shows a Burgundian feel with ripe yellow fruit, subtle roasted notes, creamy texture and saline minerality.
