North of Verona, narrow roads meander through the countryside to the small, well-hidden winery in the village of Negrar. A few hectares of vines thrive here in the best locations in the Valpolicella area on limestone and basalt soils. In the Quintarelli house, every wine is made in the traditional way and given the time it needs to meet the high standards of the winemaking family. In 60 years, the founder Giuseppe Quintarelli has formed one of the most legendary wineries in Veneto. Primofiore is a wine that combines the traditional red wines of Valpolicella with those of Bordeaux, an interesting and unusual cuvée made from the classic Valpolicella grape varieties Corvina , Corvinone and the famous Bordeaux varieties Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
