Bolgheri Rosso Superiore 2021
Description
Description
The Grattamacco winery, founded in 1977, was the second winery in the Bolgheri region and the first to vinify Bolgheri Rosso. It is located between Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri on a hill overlooking the Tuscan coast. The 34 hectares of vineyards are situated at an altitude of 100 to 200 meters above sea level and are planted with grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese and Vermentino.
An expressive Bolgheri Superiore, combining Mediterranean power and Italian elegance. Intense aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries, tobacco, espresso, and Mediterranean macchia herbs like rosemary and thyme. On the palate, dense and balanced with silky-soft tannins, fine acidity, and a long, balsamic finish with smoky minerality.
