Durbacher Winzer eG

Durbacher Winzer eG is one of Baden’s most renowned cooperatives and stands for consistently high quality from the sunny Ortenau. The vineyards lie on steep, terraced slopes around Durbach, shaped by warm granite and weathered soils that give the wines fruit, fullness and fine minerality. Classic Baden varieties such as Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir are at the centre. The white wines show juicy fruit, clear structure and animating freshness, while the red wines combine ripe berry aromas with soft tannins and harmonious spice. Careful grape selection, modern cellar technology and the know-how of many committed winegrowing families ensure authentic, highly drinkable wines with a strong sense of origin.

Origin in Focus

Baden

Baden is Germany’s southernmost and one of its warmest wine regions, stretching along the Upper Rhine from Kraichgau to Lake Constance. The mild climate and varied soils – from loess and limestone to volcanic rock in the Kaiserstuhl – allow for a broad range of styles. The focus is on Burgundy varieties: Spätburgunder for elegant to powerful reds, Grauburgunder and Weißburgunder for juicy, balanced white wines.

The nine subregions, including Kaiserstuhl, Tuniberg, Markgräflerland, Ortenau and Tauberfranken, show individual profiles, from mineral tension to a ripe, Mediterranean character.
