Domaine Roc de l'Abbaye

The Roc de l’Abbaye estate lies in the heart of Saint-Satur at the foot of the Sancerre hill and is led by Florian Mollet. With a special focus on the famous silex soils, elegant, terroir-driven Sauvignon Blancs with the characteristic flinty note are produced here. Vinification is carried out parcel by parcel, with the finest lots aged in the historic 17th-century barrel cellar in Burgundian 228-litre pièces. In addition to 11.5 hectares in Sancerre, the estate also cultivates vineyards in Pouilly-Fumé, Touraine, Quincy and Menetou-Salon, enabling a versatile and outstanding-quality collection. Florian Mollet masterfully brings the individual lots together into a harmonious whole – classic, precise and timelessly modern.

Loire

Origin in Focus

Loire

The Loire is a vast and diverse wine region that stretches along France’s longest river from Nantes to Sancerre. The cool to moderate climate and varied soils shape fresh, elegant wine styles. Famous examples include crisp Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, Chenin Blanc wines from Vouvray and Anjou, and fragrant Muscadet from the Atlantic-influenced Pays Nantais. Among the reds, Cabernet Franc from Chinon, Bourgueil and Saumur dominates with cool fruit and fine spice, accompanied by rosés and Crémants with lively freshness.

The Loire stands for clarity, balance and excellent price-to-pleasure value – ideal with fish, goat’s cheese and seasonal bistro cuisine.
