Damilano Barolo Riserva Cannubi “1752” 2015
Description
Description
Italy / Piedmont / Barolo / Cannubi
The grapes for this Barolo come from the renowned Cannubi single vineyard . For over 300 years, this small mountain ridge northeast of the municipality of Barolo has been one of the best vineyards in Piedmont. Only a few winegrowers are allowed to cultivate the micro-plots of the Cannubi vineyard, and since 1935 the Damilanos have been among the chosen few. Their Barolo Riserva is named after the oldest bottle from this vineyard that has survived, called "Cannubi 1752". The Damilano family business has been producing its Riserva Cannubi "1752" since 2008. The Nebbiolo grapes come from a sustainably managed plot of just two hectares, planted with 30-50 year old vines. Only a very few bottles of this wine are bottled each year.
