The 2016 Villemaurine has a deep garnet-violet color and in the glass aromas of cedar wood, earth, baked cherries and warm plums appear , followed by nuances of pencil shavings, cloves, cinnamon stick, star anise and dusty earth. Medium to full-bodied, a wealth of spice layers slowly builds on the palate, with a pleasant texture and a long, mineral finish.
