The 2014 Phelan-Segur has a fairly powerful nose with scents of blackberries, iris and iodine shooting out of the glass. On the palate it is medium-bodied with a pleasant structure that leads into a well-balanced middle section , with well-balanced freshness, crisp black fruits, infused with graphite and a hint of sea salt on the finish.
