Château Lynch-Bages

Château Lynch-Bages, 5ème Grand Cru Classé from 1855, is one of Pauillac’s best-known estates and has long been regarded as a reliable Super Fifth. The terroir of deep gravel over limestone and clay provides ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wines are characteristically powerful, precise and structured, with classic Pauillac notes of cassis, graphite and cedarwood. Under the Cazes family, the estate has been modernised without losing its classic style. Strict selection, parcel work and a highly modern cellar produce clear, dense yet harmonious wines. Lynch-Bages today stands for longevity, expression and one of the Médoc’s most distinctive profiles.

Bordeaux

Origin in Focus

Bordeaux

Bordeaux is one of the world’s most renowned wine regions – a name that has stood for elegance, diversity and ageing potential for centuries. Gravel, clay and limestone soils alternate, allowing fine nuances in the wines that reflect both terroir and craftsmanship.

Bordeaux is typically known for blends in which grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc work together harmoniously.

Stylistically, red Bordeaux wines are defined by a balance of fruit, structure and freshness. The white wines – usually made from Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and sometimes Muscadelle – range from crisp and citrus-driven to creamy and complex.
