Description
France / Bordeaux / Pomerol
Latour à Pomerol, named after the tower that adorns this charming château, was acquired in 1917 by Madame Loubat, who was also the owner of Château Petrus. Winemaker dynasty Jean-Pierre Moueix has been managing the winery since 1962. The vineyards are characterized by the diversity of their soils, which give the wine complexity and harmony. They are tended with the same care as all J.P. Moueix: Thinning of the canopy and green harvesting for optimal grape ripeness, followed by hand-picking in autumn for the best grape quality. Château Latour à Pomerol is known for its complex, concentrated wines that strike a perfect balance between elegance and power.
