Description
Description
France / Bordeaux / Saint-Émilion
Château Fleur Cardinale, named by the previous owner after his racehorses Fleur and Cardinale, is now owned by the Decoster family. They are one of the few Grand Cru Classé families who still live and work on their estate. When they took over the winery, they spared no effort or expense to unlock the potential of the first-class vineyard sites. Many plots were replanted, and yields were rigorously reduced. To produce the wine plot by plot, a new wine cellar was built. And to preserve biodiversity, the winemaking family relies on nature-oriented viticulture. This great effort was rewarded in 2006 with the classification as Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé.
