The 2020 du Tertre opens in the glass with aromas of sweet cassis and plums that mingle with undergrowth, cedar, violets and subtle hints of cigar paper. Medium-bodied, bright and integrated, with a beautifully concentrated fruit core, lively freshness and fine, powdery tannins that prevail in the finish, it offers a certain fruit fullness in a delicate package. Even though it is one of the more powerful du Tertre vintages of recent years, it remains a wine that is characterized more by elegance than by power.
