The 2017 Château D'Issan Grand Cru Classé is medium to deep garnet purple in color with a nose of baked plums, warm cassis and cherry compote, as well as notes of earth, balsamic, Sichuan pepper and herbs. The palate is medium-bodied and soft, with gentle freshness and plenty of juicy fruit leading to a pleasingly spicy finish.
