In the Middle Ages, the estate belonged to the English king, but since 1453 the château has been back in French hands. A meticulous selection of the best grapes in the vineyard is followed by a rigorous selection of the best barrels in the cellar. A vine produces just enough must for a glass of wine. In addition to the 2015 vintage, Parker rated only the 1945 vintage and the 2009 vintage with 100 points.
