The 2017 Les Pagodes de Cos has a deep garnet-violet color and bursts from the glass with youthful notes of Black Forest gateau, raspberry jam, cassis and spice cake with nuances of lavender, chocolate, anise and undergrowth. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, with wonderful elegance and precision and a very fine-grained framework. It finishes with endless freshness that supports the red and black fruits and with a quiet intensity.

Louis Gaspard d'Estournel inherited Cos d'Estournel in 1791. Convinced that the hill's terroir was exceptional, Louis acquired the neighboring plots to expand his estate to 45 hectares.

The Bordeaux Classification of 1855 classified Cos d'Estournel as a Deuxième Cru. The owner since 2000 has been Michel Reybier.

The wines of Cos d'Estournel are characterized by their depth, complexity and elegance. They arepraised for their ability to evolve over timeand gain depth and character. Cos d'Estournel also produces a second wine called "Les Pagodes de Cos", which is also of high quality.
