The 2014 Château Climens shows a similar golden hue, as well as rich, bold notes of honeyed almonds, caramelized peach, white raisins, toasted bread and honeycomb. It is fuller-bodied and has a wonderful mid-palate that matches some serious opulence and perhaps more moderate acidity. A little softer and more seamless than the 2011 (and the 2015), it still has a lovely freshness and purity and another 25-30 years of longevity.

Château Climens is located in the heart of the prestigious Sauternes wine region in Bordeaux. Since its creation, only five families have owned this Premiere Cru Château, which explains its unique and continuous quality over the centuries.

Under the expert guidance of Bérénice Lurton, who took over the estate from her father in 1992, Château Climens has undergone remarkable development. The year 2010 marked a decisive turning point in the history of this winery, when Bérénice Lurton courageously decided to convert the entire viticulture to biodynamics.

This commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility is not only reflected in the incomparable character of its wines, but has also been honored by the award of the coveted Bordeaux Best Of Wine Tourism Gold Award for sustainable wine tourism practices.
