Château Calon Segur Grand Vin 2018
Description
Description
Known as one of the oldest wineries in the Médoc, the wine-growing history of this Château 3ème Cru Classé dates back to the 12th century. The excellent wines from Château Calon-Ségur were also well known at the Palace of Versailles. King Louis XV called the owner Nicolas-Alexandre Marquis de Ségur "Prince of the Vines". The Marquis also owned the Châteaux Latour and Lafite. From him the statement has been handed down "I make wine in Lafite and Latour, but my heart beats in Calon-Ségur". That's why the name of the château is surrounded by a heart on the label. Calon-Ségur, the Grand Vin, is a reflection of the winery and embodies that fine balance between softness and intensity.
