Peter Jakob Kühn is one of Germany’s most renowned biodynamic estates and a flagship for precise, characterful Rieslings from the Rheingau. The vineyards are located in high-quality sites with slate, loess and quartzite soils, giving the wines structure and pronounced minerality. The interplay of sustainable cultivation, careful manual work and long maturation in the cellar results in wines of impressive clarity, tension and inner calm. Kühn’s Rieslings often show deep herbal spice, lively acidity and elegant fruit, accompanied by remarkable ageing potential. The dry single-site wines also have great radiance and regularly rank among the Rheingau’s finest.

The Rheingau is one of Germany’s most traditional wine regions. Favoured by the mild climate and south-facing slopes, characterful wines are produced here, above all elegant Rieslings with fine acidity, mineral character and great longevity. Pinot Noir also has a long history in the Rheingau and produces balanced, often delicate red wines.
