Description

France / Bordeaux & Côtes du Rhône

The Odyssée represents the union of two great wine regions of France, the connection between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, and a slight break with tradition – as négociant wines traditionally always come from only one region. The two befriended winemakers, Pierre Graffeuille from Bordeaux and Matthieu Durmacher from the Rhône Valley, wanted to create a grand wine that connects two special wine regions of France. The Odyssée achieves this: a unique combination of the power and tension of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Médoc with the elegance of Grenache from the Rhône Valley. The grape varieties Mourvèdre, Syrah, Merlot, and Petit Verdot provide the ultimate finesse of the Odyssée. A complex wine whose aromas are perfectly balanced.

En Aparté

En Aparté is the joint project of befriended winemakers Pierre Graffeuille from the Médoc and Matthieu Dumarcher from the southern Rhône. The idea is to create a great wine that brings together two of France’s most exciting regions – Atlantic and Mediterranean, Cabernet and Grenache, Bordeaux structure and Rhône suppleness. Under the En Aparté name, Vin de France cuvées such as Odyssée are produced, in which the power and tension of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Médoc merge with the aromatic richness and elegance of southern Grenache grapes. Complemented by varieties such as Mourvèdre, Syrah, Merlot or Counoise, the result is complex, profound wines with ripe fruit, fine spice, juicy texture and perfectly balanced structure – a deliberate break with tradition, offering strong appeal for collectors and wine lovers alike.
