Valle Reale

Valle Reale lies secluded in the Gran Sasso National Park in Abruzzo – a high-altitude estate surrounded by mountains and wilderness. The vineyards are significantly higher than is typical for the region; cool nights, large temperature differences and constant mountain winds ensure long, slow ripening and exceptional freshness. Farming is consistently organic, at times almost wild, with minimal intervention in the vineyard and cellar. The focus is on Montepulciano d’Abruzzo as well as regional white varieties such as Trebbiano and Pecorino. The style: juicy but not over-concentrated red wines with dark fruit, herbal spice, lively acidity and fine tannins, alongside vibrant, mineral white wines with citrus, herbs and saline tension. Spontaneous fermentation and restrained oak use underline the purist, terroir-driven character. For a premium online shop, Valle Reale offers authentic mountain wines with a clear signature – perfect for explorers and fans of elegant, fresh Italian wines.

Origin in Focus

Abruzzo

Abruzzo on the Adriatic coast of central Italy combines sea breezes with the cool mountain climate of the Apennines – ideal conditions for characterful wines. Famous examples include Montepulciano d’Abruzzo with dark fruit, soft tannins and spicy notes, as well as fresh, almond-tinged Trebbiano d’Abruzzo. Rosé lovers appreciate the cherry-fruited Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo. Traditional agriculture, nature parks and picturesque hilltop villages also make the region an authentic destination for culinary travel between mountains and sea.
