Korrell Spätburgunder 2020
Description
Description
Germany / Nahe
The Große Lage Kirschheck is the oldest documented location in the Nahe. Wild cherries used to grow here before the slopes were planted with vines. Martin Korrell's Riesling vines are on a 3.5 hectare plot. The soils consist of dark grey claystone and slate from the Permian period, but also loess and loess-clay banks. The steep slope and the slate, which only allows for low yields, mean that the soils heat up easily and ensure a good water supply. Ideal conditions for a long ripening period. Martin Korrell produces elegant, clearly mineral-influenced Rieslings from the grapes from this plot.
