Champagne Frerejean Frères

The founding trio of the Maison, brothers Guillaume, Richard and Rodolphe Frerejean-Taittinger, initially began producing Champagne for their family and closest friends. The exceptional quality of their creations quickly spread and won the hearts of discerning connoisseurs. Today, the Champagne house has the honour of serving as the official Champagne supplier for the prestigious Michelin star ceremony.

The Frerejean-Taittinger brothers grew up with love and respect for the traditions of Champagne. Rodolphe was baptised with Champagne at the tender age of one and enjoyed his first sip of this enchanting drink at the age of eight. The taste, energy and pure magic of Champagne captivated him from the beginning. Guided by his brothers and mentored by the renowned chef de cave Didier Pierson, a fifth-generation winemaker from Avize, Rodolphe set out on a journey of discovery through the diverse terroirs that define Champagne. The journey began with the brothers producing Champagne exclusively for family and friends, but the quality of their exceptional wines quickly spread and led them into business in 2005. Their main motivation was to create complex, elegant Champagnes with a clear connection to terroir. At Frerejean Frères, the Champagnes spend at least five to eight years ageing on the lees before disgorgement. Quality comes before quantity, which is why the brothers allocate their Champagne strictly to selected wine merchants.

Their boutique estate is located in Avize, a Grand Cru village in the heart of Champagne. The Maison’s vineyards, all Premier and Grand Cru sites, are farmed sustainably, and every grape is harvested by hand at full ripeness. This dedication ensures that every bottle of Frerejean Frères Champagne offers a multi-layered bouquet of aromas, from delicate floral notes to rich, complex profiles with an elegant character.
