This domaine based in Meursault farms parcels from Beaune to Maranges and is regarded as a reliable name for modern yet clearly terroir-driven Burgundy. Around 60 percent of production is white varieties, with a focus on Chardonnay from Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet; the remaining 40 percent is Pinot Noir from appellations such as Volnay, Beaune and Maranges. In the vineyard, meticulous canopy and yield work is central, and grapes are selectively hand harvested. In the cellar, Xavier Monnot combines precise, clean vinification with carefully measured oak use: enough barrique for structure and complexity without masking origin.
