Domaine Bertrand Bachelet Gevrey Chambertin "Les Seuvrées" 2024

Domaine Bertrand Bachelet represents the fourth generation of a long-established winemaking family from Dezize-lès-Maranges in the southern Côte de Beaune. Since taking over the family estate in 2011, Bertrand Bachelet has managed the roughly 13 to 14 hectares with great dedication and a clear sensitivity to the character of each parcel. The vineyards stretch from Maranges through Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin and Meursault to Pommard and Gevrey-Chambertin.

The focus is on Pinot Noir, complemented by selected Chardonnay sites. The wines from Maranges in particular show how impressive this lesser-known appellation can be: fruit-driven, finely structured and marked by Burgundian elegance. In the cellar, Bachelet works traditionally and with a light touch; careful use of oak supports the character of the wines without masking the terroir. The result is authentic Burgundy with depth, finesse and excellent ageing potential.

The Burgundy (Bourgogne) wine region is shaped by small parcels and historic vineyards. The focus here is on two grape varieties – Pinot Noir and Chardonnay – which reflect soil, climate and craftsmanship with exceptional transparency.

Between Dijon and Mâcon, a narrow band of vineyards stretches for around 250 km, each with its own distinctive character.
