Description

France / Champagne

Producing a vintage champagne in this northernmost wine region of France is a particular challenge and does not succeed every year. Spring frosts, lots of rain and temperatures that are either too cold or too hot during the ripening period are the rule rather than the exception. In every past decade there were only four to five years in which the weather conditions were good enough to produce a high-quality rosé vintage champagne. The Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2006 released this year is a first in the house's success story. It is the fifth vintage champagne in a row.
