Château Roc de Cambes

Château Roc de Cambes lies in the Côtes de Bourg appellation on the slopes facing the Gironde and is considered one of the great insider tips of Bordeaux’s Right Bank. The estate is backed by the Mitjavile family of Tertre Roteboeuf, whose style is clearly recognisable: very ripe, perfectly selected grapes, low yields and extended ageing in barrique with a high proportion of new oak. The usually Merlot-dominant cuvée, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, shows dense dark fruit, ripe tannins, fine roasted notes, sweet spice and impressive aromatic depth – yet remains balanced thanks to freshness and structure. Roc de Cambes offers character and complexity like a small Grand Cru, but from a less familiar appellation. For a premium online shop, the estate is ideal for customers seeking expressive, age-worthy Bordeaux beyond the famous names.

Bordeaux

Origin in Focus

Bordeaux

Bordeaux is one of the world’s most renowned wine regions – a name that has stood for elegance, diversity and ageing potential for centuries. Gravel, clay and limestone soils alternate, allowing fine nuances in the wines that reflect both terroir and craftsmanship.

Bordeaux is typically known for blends in which grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc work together harmoniously.

Stylistically, red Bordeaux wines are defined by a balance of fruit, structure and freshness. The white wines – usually made from Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and sometimes Muscadelle – range from crisp and citrus-driven to creamy and complex.
