Château Pape Clement Blanc 2014

Château Pape Clément, one of Bordeaux’s oldest documented estates, lies in Pessac-Léognan and was founded in the 13th century by the future Pope Clement V. The varied terroir of deep gravel, clay and limestone subsoil offers ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and the white varieties Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. The red wines show powerful structure, rich dark fruit, fine spice and silky tannins, while the whites impress with aromatic depth, mineral freshness and complexity. Under Bernard Magrez, the estate has been thoroughly modernised and strongly focused on quality. Precise parcel work and careful vinification shape a luxurious, full-bodied style that makes Pape Clément one of the brightest estates of Graves.
