France / Bordeaux / Médoc / Saint-Julien

Lilian Barton-Sartorius heads the château, supported by her two children Damien and Mélanie, a trained oenologist. Château Langoa Barton, the sister estate to the famous Château Léoville-Barton, is considered an insider tip among Bordeaux lovers. Still – because in recent years, a quality offensive has been implemented that is impressively effective. The wines have become more harmonious and elegant, with finesse and fine aromatics. Château Langoa Barton

Château Langoa Barton, a 3ème Grand Cru Classé from 1855, is one of Saint-Julien’s most traditional estates and has belonged to the Barton family for generations. The vineyards lie on deep, warm gravel soils over clay that provide optimal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The terroir creates clearly structured, balanced wines with a classic Saint-Julien profile: dark berry fruit, fine spice, cedarwood and precise, long-lived tannins. Langoa Barton vinifies with restraint and favours elegance over overripeness, producing wine of remarkable typicity and consistency. Closely linked to sister estate Léoville Barton, Langoa stands for reliability, character and an authentically traditional signature.

Bordeaux

Origin in Focus

Bordeaux

Bordeaux is one of the world’s most renowned wine regions – a name that has stood for elegance, diversity and ageing potential for centuries. Gravel, clay and limestone soils alternate, allowing fine nuances in the wines that reflect both terroir and craftsmanship.

Bordeaux is typically known for blends in which grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc work together harmoniously.

Stylistically, red Bordeaux wines are defined by a balance of fruit, structure and freshness. The white wines – usually made from Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and sometimes Muscadelle – range from crisp and citrus-driven to creamy and complex.
