Premier Grand Cru Classé

The 2014 Beausejour Héritiers Duffau-Lagarrosse was a fascinating Saint-Émilion when I tasted it from the barrel. Now in the bottle it has developed a convincing bouquet , very pure with black cherries, iodine, potpourri and crushed violets. The intensity is very impressive. On the palate it is medium-bodied with firm tannins. It is much more straightforward than I expected with a powerful finish.
